Thoughts of you and me were only a distant dream But the closer we got More like reality it seemed
You smooth talked my worries Swapped them with affection Regained the love we lost and gave our hearts the attention
I wished for it to carry on Not for you to leave me Struggling along alone With pain only making me happy
My previous faith in love Had been tossed behind I realised that such admiration Couldn't be too kind
So here I lay Remembering the past Thinking about the times I believed Us two would last
