One More Page

Just one more page, Chapter is done,
Chapter of adventure, Chapter of fun,
Story of laughter, Story of song,
It won’t be the same, Once you’ve gone.

I hate goodbyes, You know it’s true,
I can’t believe it, It’s finally through,
We’ve been through the rain, Seen the sun,
We’ve chased the rainbows, And come undone.

You’ve been on my side, Throughout it all,
Reached out your hand, Each time I’d fall,
Stood me up, So I could see,
Who I am, Who I am meant to be.

Been my shoulder, So I could cry,
Made me smile, Dried my eyes,
From the tip of my heart, I offer my praise,
A wish for happiness, For all your days.

It’s tough for me, To say farewell,
Sign my name, And wish you well,
That’s not my style, You know me true,
I hold on much longer, Than I am suppose to.

So with this stanza, I shall end this soon,
I give you the stars, The sun, and the moon,
You are my best friend, And I love you dear,
I’m so lucky and blessed, To have you here.
