We used to float together,
Along the shimmering sand.
Under the smiling stars,
Holding your blood stained hand.

You used to sing sad songs,
And hold my heartbeat tight.
Bring me black dead roses,
And watch me sleep at night.

We used to hold each other,
Until our arms would cry.
Even then we would not let go,
Until the day we died.

You used to lick my scars,
Soothing and relieving the pain.
Take me dancing at midnight,
Just to feel the rain.

We used to dig our nails,
Deep into each others souls.
We used to fill with ink,
Our minds so full of holes.

You used to make my eyes,
Bleed such deep and gripping tears.
You used to make me face,
All your dreaded fears.

We used to fill our hearts,
With an eternal smoke and cloud.
A suffocating scream,
That made our darkening love we vowed.

And now we are the same,
We are both no more.
Both hanging from the same tree,
A pool of blood upon the floor.

But our love will never end,
For now we are connected by death.
We are now the smiling stars,
Holding each others breath.
