Alone in my bed tonight, no one but me,
Looking up at the moon,
Are you looking too?
Are our eyes fixed on the same spot?
Can you hear me whispering sweetly through the moon to you?

If I close my eyes and lie on my side,
I can almost feel your warmth,
Your arms wrapped around me as you sleep,
So gentle and loving even as you dream,
Your breath caressing my neck softly.

When I dream it's always of you, my sweet,
Outlined in a silver light,
Walking me through streets, always holding my hand,
Your smile so radiant, so bright.

The night is the hardest part for us,
After we have parted ways.
What I wouldn't give to stay with you,
Lie in your arms and hold you in mine,
Wake up in the morning to see your face.

So my love, I'm under the moon again,
And you are under it too.
Let me tell you one thing before I go.
There'd be nothing sweeter than falling asleep,
Cuddled up under the moon with you.
