Random Poem
There's a feeling deep inside me,
Telling me things are wrong,
Something lurks beyond what I can see,
And I must prepare, become strong.
Something tugs at my memory,
Something that I've forgotten,
There is something beyond what I can see,
That waits to pounce and cave me in.
I can't shake this feeling,
It causes me to tremble,
What is this sense that keeps me reeling,
I'm waiting for the calm to tumble.
My gut is telling me to keep quiet,
Not to share my secrets with you,
Oh how badly I wish to ignore it,
So I'll will it away, I'm going too.
I open up my soul, I share it all,
Though my mind is screaming no,
I break down my instincts wall,
I trust you, I sunk that low.
I've never felt so betrayed,
As the trust I had quickly dissolves,
I look in at the mess I've made,
By letting you get involved.
What to do, I do not know,
I curse myself for being so naive,
My instinct yells I told you so,
I wore my heart out on my sleeve.
Never again will I let trust win,
When my gut is telling my otherwise,
By trusting I took my world for a spin,
I lost what I had for so long prized.
