How sad to be a rain drop,
To fall out from a cloud,
To whiz on threw the air,
And plummet to the ground.

How short that life must be,
How quickly it is over,
How sad to be reduced,
To dew upon a clover.

How sad be a rain drop,
To be wished away by all,
To think you once were so big,
And then find out your small.

How sad to be erased,
Wiped out from the world,
To be quickly replaced,
Never to be missed.

How sad to not be seen,
As separate from the group,
To be clumped with the others,
A never ending loop.

How sad to be so small,
Ignored in many ways,
And never seen as beautiful,
Just annoying and a pain.

How sad to be dried up,
By sun and constant heat,
How horrible to disappear,
Leaving no trace you were there.
