Random Poem

In her room of white and gold,
It's always warm, but never cold,
Pure white pillows line her bed,
Soft as velvet on her head.

In her room she stays all day,
Fighting news of war away,
Painting pictures of the sky,
Blue and clear, not a cloud nearby.

In her room she writes on walls,
Nothing but sweet lullabies,
And in the quiet as darkness falls,
She dreams of heaven as mothers cry.

In her world, and hers alone,
There's nothing but a light and happy tone,
Looking at the moon, she blows a kiss,
While soldiers run through a bloody mist.

In her world, paused there in time,
She sits and makes up children's rhymes,
And while she dots her i's with hearts.
A man pushes the wounded, to safety, on carts.

In her room, she grows flowers,
All bright and perfect, standing up high,
And as people fight for power,
A boy asks,"How many more will have to die?"

In her room there is no war or guilt,
Her flowers grow, they never wilt,
There is no death and no decay,
And she will innocently play.

In her world that she constructed,
There is no ruin, and no destruction.
And should reality seep in,
It shall be the end of her haven.

COMMENTS FROM ME, THE AUTHOR OF THIS POEM:
This poem is about war, and the people who choose not to believe it is happening. They build there own world, were no harm can reach them. A shell of sorts. But once tragedy strikes, they're faced with reality, and there "perfect" world crumbles. There is bad in the world, and in order to beat it, we need to acknowledge it.
