Random Poem

The sun is slowly rising,
Upon my horizon,
Chasing the night away,
The once wilted flowers,
Now blossom and grow,
My mind is a healthier place.

My voice does not quiver,
My body doesn't shiver,
From embarrassment and pain,
My face wears a lighter,
A far more brighter,
Expression of happiness, not shame.

The sun always sets,
And dark always follows,
But I know in my heart it won't stay,
The sky will brighten,
And calmness replaces,
The fear of the wretch coming once again.

I can't live in fear,
That the water will stir,
I must always see the way out,
I can't be afraid,
To feel my emotions,
No matter how sad or dark.

I have faith now,
That the sun will rise,
That I can handle the night,
I know better now,
Than to let the darkness,
Steal all of my radiant light.

I don't have to be happy,
Not all of the time,
I am bound to feel sad,
But this doesn't mean,
I'm depressed once again,
It will not mean the end.

COMMENTS FROM ME, THE AUTHOR OF THIS POEM:
This poem is one of the first hopeful ones I have written in 3 years. This poem is about my faith in getting better and my acceptance of the fact that I can feel sad and not have to be depressed. I can't be afraid of negative emotions, because every human has them. Just because I get sad, doesn't mean I am getting depressed again. I will embrace and deal with my emotions positively. I have faith in myself and my ability to be and stay better.
