I let the petals fall where they may,
I watched the flower whither away,
I let the clouds cover the sky,
I watched the sky say a final good-bye,
I let the horizon swallow the sun,
I watched as darkness covered everything,
Everyone.
I watched all this happen,
It reminds me too,
Of exactly what took place,
When I lost you.
I watched ducks swim,
As waves push them away,
They scurry home,
As darkness comes to stay.
In some strange way,
An analogy's formed,
I let go of good weather,
And I welcomed the storm,
I watched as you pushed me away,
With such force,
I could do nothing but comply,
Let your force run it's course.
But this didn't help,
You just pushed harder.
I broke into pieces,
Let happiness go,
Turned light into darkness,
Welcomed sorrow.
