Random Poem


Thorns press my skin,
Making droplets of crimson,
I wear my heart on the outside,
So easily crushed,
Am I,
So easily hurt am I.

Take these thorns,
Wrap them around my heart,
Break it,
Make it painful.

All can see my pain,
All see my heart,
All know my sadness.

I want a painful death,
That way I know I existed,
Break my heart,
Make it really twisted,
I long for destruction,
I hate who I've become,
Kill this sick person,
Who's in love with her own blood.

I can't look anymore,
She is so ugly,
The thorns press harder,
Into my skin,
My hands making fists,
My hair knotted.

I can't stand who I've become,
I hate all that I've done,
The lies I've spilt,
The words that dripped like venom from my lips.

Everyone sees me,
As I fall,
On hands and knees,
Break down myself,
In front of all of you.

I can't control,
This other me inside,
She loves the thorns,
She loves the pain.

I used to be afraid of needles,
I used to cry at the sight of blood,
Cuts and bruises made me scream,
Name calling never hurt me.

Now I embrace the needles,
Blood is the one thing I understand,
Cuts and bruises I make myself,
And name calling hurts worse than a blade.

Where has my innocents gone?
I have left it,
Along with her,
The one I used to be,
The sweet and gentle me,
I can't be her anymore,
Why?
