Random Poem
I am weak and insignificant.
I am a failure by design.
I stood on the side line
And watched people mess with my mind.
I am a lover and a fighter
Trapped in the awful void that I've created.
Beat down and far from the finish line,
This place I've always hated.
Been forced to finish last in my own race
I am the only runner.
Tired and worn down
And to some this may come as a stunner.
I've lived a lie most of my life.
Put on my fake smile and pretended not to cry.
My insides withheld pools of tears,
Dreams lost, and silent fears.
I created my own world, the perfect place.
It was there that I put that fake smile on my face.
To show everyone that I was not weak,
But I was only the attention-seeking freak.
I could not hide this from the people that mattered most,
Even if they lived on the other coast.
They noticed a change taking its toll on me
They wouldn't even listen to my begging plea.
That I was all right, nothing was wrong
Even though I related to many a-song.
Songs about suffering, lonliness, and strife.
About sorrow, and even losing a life.
Sitting in the darkness, thinking things through,
And figuring out there was nothing I could do.
That I can't turn back the clock,
And go back in time.
I am weak and insignificant.
This I've come to find.
