Random Poem

Our views are too narrow,
Our wrongs we don't mend.
We can't have a good tomorrow
Until the wars end.
People keep dying in a war that's unjust
Why can't we stop lying?
And settle what we've stirred up?
Everyone is miserable and has no hope,
People want equal rights,
Soon we'll have a gay Pope.
Kids sell drugs on the streets
Then show up ready to run for track meets.
Our teachers do more drugs then we do,
So why don't they get searched, too?
Kids are on the streets late at night,
And show up for school the next day,
Is it any wonder they get confused on the way?
We see images we think are far from us,
But when someone we love gets hurt we say it's unjust.
We think we're safe from everything we see
But all these things are happening in our own country.
Why are we set on corrupting our youth?
Why are we blind to all but the truth?
People are scared of being murdered in their own home,
And never leave their house on their own.
Our world is ugly and nothing to be proud of,
Maybe all we need is some guidance form up above.
