Random Poem
can you hear the rain
of tears cried 'round the world
born from clouds of pain
into the eyes of boys and girls
the storm to me is loud
and the drizzle is a flood
the cries don't sound too proud
of the rain they've lost in blood
with rain the color of tomatoes
and clouds black with extinguished dreams
hurricaines, quakes, and tornadoes
all exist in these kids screams
the raging wind carries their voices
past meadows and fields of smiles
parents making the wrong choices
letting the suffering fall on the child
this storm'll never stop
as kids are still abused
with teens still smoking pot
adding color to grayish hues
depression with full power
over adolescent hearts
hitting them with showers
of bloody raindrop darts
seeing their dreams slashed
like a "jack-the-Ripper" victim
in cars of sin they crash
seeing darkness in their vision
my own brain begins to storm
as hearts are slashed to pieces
in the darkness black clouds form
as their soulful pain increases
in the end the storm'll pass
and fade into the night
due to prayer and fast
and faith in the lord our light
